Community Place, a subsidiary of Healthy Community Alliance, continues to provide added value to Gowanda and the surrounding area. Besides housing the offices of Healthy Community Alliance, Community Place is where individuals can find private counseling services, audiology services, the Cattaraugus County Seniors Wellness and Nutrition Site , the Country Store pantry, Tri-County Family Medicine, Total Senior Care Adult Day Services and BestSelf Behavioral Health. Community Place offers Academy Place Apartments residents and community members a centralized location where recreation, wellness and health promotion activities are available to people of all ages. Activities have included falls prevention classes, youth and adult recreation and sports, and safe indoor walking for seniors.
